HISTORY

Kellenberger Plumbing & Underground, Inc was founded in 1991 by Greg Kellenberger in Elgin, IL where he was born and raised. Before starting his own company, Greg was employed as a farmer prior to entering the plumbing trade. His father and brother were electricians and his other brother was a general contractor/carpenter so Greg was no stranger to the construction industry. Once he was overloaded with side jobs, he decided to venture out on his own. Like many construction companies, Greg started his business in the residential market. As years went on KPUI moved into the commercial and industrial markets. While the company grew, the services expanded to include site utilities and excavating which is now a major focus of the company. From the beginning, Greg sought to instill a strong work ethic in his four sons starting at a young age. Today, all four sons are heavily involved in the business and each perform and manage a different aspect of this diverse business.
